Musical Improv! Class Show

First Unitarian Church Basement 605 Morewood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Do you enjoy the spontaneity of improv comedy and the sheer joy of musical theater? Come see instructor Ryan Nuzzo’s Musical Improv class as they show off their new musical skills.

Musical improv is a form of improvisational theater where performers create spontaneous songs and musical numbers based on audience suggestions or cues. Unlike traditional improv, where scenes are spoken, musical improv combines dialogue with improvised melodies, harmonies, and lyrics, accompanied by a live musician. This genre requires quick thinking, creativity, and musical skill, as performers must not only generate lyrics but also match it with appropriate rhythms, melodies, and song structures, creating an entertaining and often unpredictable live experience.
